Camping with the Goblins

Labor Day weekend was a huge hit with the Gunnell fam -- we teamed up with our friends, the Dixons, and headed down to check out Crystal Geyser, hike in Moab, and camp in Goblin Valley. It was an action packed two days and our kids can't stop talking about how much fun they had! And -- even though I am not a huge fan of camping -- I enjoyed our yummy food (thanks, Dixons!) and our new HUGE tent (thanks, Danny!) and I loved the hiking and the fun and beautiful sights. The kids loved exploring and climbing and listening to Danny's not-so-spooky stories about "Gobby the Goblin" -- the midnight toenail eater! We made some great memories and we will definitely be back to Goblin Valley again! Hopefully the Dixons will be our camping buddies again, too!

Davis helped Dad catch these crawdads, and Reid thought they were super cool too!

Macie was Dad's special crawdad catching helper!

Macie, Reid and Davis smile in front of the new tent -- it was so huge that it didn't even fit in the campsite area!

Crazy climbers!

Yodel-lay-hee-hoo, Davis!

Macie and Dad hike oh-so-high!

Our friends, Preston Dixon and his backpacking babe, Tyler.

Danny J always wanted to stand on rocks and pose for the camera -- what a cutie pie!

Sitting pretty!

Can you see me and my boys? Check us out below!

Look closely at the cliffs. Reid and Macie are quite the climbers!

Hi-ya! Dad and Davis show off some karate kid skills.
